Why Tyndale – Our Community
Our Vibrant Community
At Tyndale Christian School Murray Bridge, our community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that true engagement goes beyond simply attending school; it’s about becoming an active participant in a vibrant, supportive, and nurturing community. We encourage every member of our community—students, parents, and staff alike—to belong, contribute, and grow together.
Becoming Part of the Tyndale Family
Our school is more than just a place of learning; it’s a family where each person is valued and has the opportunity to contribute. We believe that life is richer when we choose to be participants rather than spectators, and this philosophy extends to every aspect of school life. We invite you to explore not only our educational offerings but also the warmth, heart, and spirit that define our community.
Celebrating Together: Events and Traditions
Throughout the year, our school hosts a wide range of events that bring our community together. These events are a wonderful opportunity for students, families, and staff to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories. Some of our cherished traditions include:
- Sports Day: A highlight of the year where students showcase their athletic abilities, team spirit, and sportsmanship. It’s a day filled with excitement, competition, and a sense of achievement as everyone rallies to support their teams.
- Grandparents’ Day: A special day dedicated to honouring the wisdom and love of our students’ grandparents. It’s a heartwarming event where we welcome these important family members to our school, celebrating the role they play in our students’ lives.
- Family Fun Day: This event is all about joy and togetherness. With games, activities, and entertainment for all ages, Family Fun Day is a chance for families to relax, have fun, and strengthen the bonds within our community.
- NAIDOC Week: We are proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week, a significant event that honours the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through a variety of activities and educational programs, our students learn about and appreciate the rich heritage of Australia’s First Nations people, fostering a deeper understanding and respect for the cultural diversity within our community.
- Community Service Projects: Engaging with the wider community is another key aspect of life at Tyndale. Throughout the year, our students participate in various service projects, both locally and internationally, that help them understand the importance of compassion, generosity, and making a positive impact on the world around them.
A Global Perspective
In addition to our local community events, we offer our Senior School students the opportunity to gain a broader perspective through overseas mission trips. These trips provide invaluable experiences, allowing students to engage with different cultures and understand the responsibilities we have to those less fortunate. By participating in capital works projects and supporting orphanages, our students witness firsthand the difference that a single act of kindness can make in the lives of others.
Currently, students and staff have the opportunity to visit Hope Village in Sumatra and also Testimony Faith and Neema Homes in Kenya.
Join Our Community
We invite you to become an integral part of our Tyndale Christian School Murray Bridge community. Whether through school events, service projects, or everyday interactions, there are countless ways to get involved, connect with others, and contribute to the rich tapestry of our school life. Together, we can build a strong, supportive, and dynamic community where everyone has a place and a purpose.
OVERSEAS
We offer a variety of ways for Senior School students to gain an appreciation of different cultures and begin to understand the responsibility we have to those less fortunate than ourselves. The main intention of our mission trips overseas is to discover the realities of life in these developing countries, while making a difference one trip at a time.
The teams undertake capital works projects and contribute financially to support the orphanages that the School is committed to.
The members who have travelled on any of these trips have been greatly impacted by this experience and inspired by the difference that one trip can make to the people we visit.
Currently, students and staff have the opportunity to visit Hope Village in Sumatra and also Testimony Faith and Neema Homes in Kenya.
